Jewelry After Care
⚒️ The Nature of the Metal
Each piece from TNL Supply is either cast or fabricated by hand in brass, bronze, or sterling silver. These metals will develop a natural patina over time — that darkening isn’t damage; it’s a sign of the metal reacting beautifully to your skin and environment.
If you love the aged look, let it ride.
If you prefer a brighter finish, follow the care steps below to keep your piece looking its best.
🔒 Coated vs. Uncoated Pieces
Most jewelry is sealed with Renaissance Wax to reduce oxidation and protect your skin from discoloration. This coating will wear down slowly with regular wear — especially on chains, rings, or pieces that rub against the skin often.
Pieces that are not sealed are clearly noted in their product descriptions. Uncoated pieces will develop a deeper, faster patina.
✨ Cleaning
Use a Sunshine® polishing cloth to gently restore shine.
Do not use abrasive pads, dips, or chemical cleaners — they’ll strip the finish or the seal..
Do not soak or submerge your jewelry.
Avoid getting stones wet or exposing them to cleaning products.
⚡Everyday Care Tips
Remove jewelry before showering, swimming, or applying lotions and perfumes.
Store your pieces in a dry place, ideally in an airtight bag or box.
If you notice darkening or oxidation, polish lightly rather than over-cleaning.
